Frequently asked questions
- Are these prices firm?
- They're honest ranges based on real jobs we've done. Your airplane is your airplane — we quote the actual work in writing before any of it happens. You'll never see a surprise on the final invoice.
- What does 'quote before we wrench' actually mean?
- On annuals, we do the inspection, then stop and call you with the list and the cost. You decide what gets fixed now, what waits, and what you want to look at yourself. No work beyond the inspection happens without your sign-off.
- Do you take credit cards?
- Yes. We also take check and ACH. Payment is due on completion before the airplane leaves the hangar.
- What's the turnaround time?
- Most annuals turn in 1–2 weeks once they're on the schedule. Repairs depend on parts availability — we'll tell you up front. We don't take on more work than we can finish on the date we promised.
- Do you do owner-assisted annuals?
- Yes, and we like them. You learn your airplane, we save you a few labor hours, and the airplane goes back together with someone who cares watching every step. We'll walk you through what's legal for an owner to do.
- What about IA sign-off?
- Erik holds Inspection Authorization — annuals are signed off in-house. No shuffling your airplane to a second shop for the signature.
- Do you work on twins / Cirrus / turboprops?
- Piston singles and piston twins — yes (Cessna, Piper, Beech, etc.). Cirrus piston singles — yes. We also service turboprops and light turbine singles on a case-by-case basis (King Air, Caravan, and similar). Heavy jets are not our line of work — we'll tell you if we can't help.
- Can I bring my airplane in for a one-day repair?
- If we have a slot, yes. Call ahead — we run by appointment, which is exactly why your airplane doesn't sit in line for three weeks.
- What if I'm AOG away from home?
- Call. If it's something we can fix at S39, we'll do our best to get you a slot fast. If it's beyond what we can do quickly, we'll be straight with you so you can plan your next move.
